Enhancing Sustainable & Inclusive Tourism Experiences

Summary of the project

Thematic Tours & Guest Engagement

A new thematic experience was introduced to attract domestic tourists and families, focusing on local forest products and traditional food preservation. The "Create Your Own Winter Supplies" activity allowed guests to learn preservation techniques from local experts, deepening their connection to regional heritage. Integrated into the guesthouse’s offerings, this initiative increased guest engagement and broadened its appeal.

Sustainable Operations & Permaculture

A Guesthouse Operation Manual was developed to streamline sustainable practices, covering waste management, water conservation, and energy efficiency. To enhance self-sufficiency, permaculture gardening was introduced, with recommendations for a self-sustaining garden. Staff training ensured effective implementation, leading to reduced waste, resource conservation, and a foundation for long-term sustainability.

Inclusive Tourism Adjustments

An accessibility assessment led to the creation of a Manual for Inclusive Tourism Adjustments, outlining practical steps to accommodate guests with special needs. Improvements included optimized space, clearer signage, and staff training. Enhanced communication about accessibility features ensured a more inclusive experience, reinforcing the guesthouse’s commitment to responsible and welcoming tourism.
