Summary of the project

Analyzing data sources, like social media, tourism records, and online reviews, We aim to utilize data in a creative way to gain insights into the needs and preferences of tourists visiting Matera and all points of interest in Basilicata. Understanding tourists' needs, we can identify areas for improvement and develop targeted initiatives to enhance accommodations, transportation, attractions, and other aspects of the tourist experience. Leveraging data and machine learning algorithms, we can create dynamic systems that offer customized itineraries, dining options, activities and attractions, thereby increasing tourists' satisfaction. Analyzing data we aim to identify strategies for managing tourist influxes, optimizing infrastructure, and preserving the cultural and natural heritage of the city. To foster partnerships with local businesses, tourism organizations, and community members to ensure that our data-driven insights are effectively translated into tangible actions.
