Summary of the project

The funded project for Ruralis focuses on optimizing the website to improve the homepage, updating the map functionality, and restructuring the blog section.

The first intervention involves analyzing the website's usability to enhance the user experience. This phase includes a detailed analysis of the navigation, accessibility, and clarity of the information on the current site. The solutions include revising the information architecture, simplifying processes by reducing the number of clicks needed, and overall site optimization.

The second intervention concerns updating the map functionality on the website. This involves analyzing the current map features to identify any gaps or usability issues. The site has been updated with structures that were not yet present, thus expanding the database available to users. Subsequently, a thorough evaluation of the map was conducted to identify areas for improvement, and targeted changes were suggested to optimize the user experience. These changes include adding search filters, improving information display, and simplifying interaction with the map, making it more intuitive and user-friendly.

The third intervention involves restructuring the blog section on the website. The goal was to identify strengths and areas for improvement to inform future strategies. Ways to align the blog content with Ruralis' social media profiles were explored, thus increasing the blog's visibility as an authoritative source of information on rural tourism. The integration of social content could expand the blog's audience, allowing Ruralis to reach a wider and more diverse public. Additionally, the inclusion of content on social initiatives in small communities was proposed, giving them visibility on the blog platform.
