Best practice: Dewatering pump in Marrozzo Lagosanto (FE)
Summary of the content and its utility
Thanks to an intervention financed with the PSR Emilia Romagna 2007/13, it was possible to valorize the old dewatering pump in Marrozzo Lagosanto, which was closed in 1986, as a new water lifting plant was inaugurated with different technology. The intervention managed to requalify the buildings adjacent to the old plant by creating a museum and sponsoring activities that promote knowledge about the surrounding environment. The old dewatering pump is now visited by 1000 tourists every year.
